The queries you bother to pretty-print often came from a slow log, a support ticket, or a migration script — complete with table names, user ids, and email addresses. Server-side formatters retain copies. This runs in the page only.
The formatter uses the sql-formatter library with language sql and keywordCase upper. It does not connect to a database, run EXPLAIN, or validate against Postgres, T-SQL, or BigQuery-specific syntax.
No execution, no lint rules, no parameter binding, and no guarantee every dialect extension formats perfectly. Broken SQL may still format oddly — fix syntax in your editor.
That is the promise behind every tool here. Files are read in your browser tab, processed there, and discarded when you close it — never uploaded to our servers.
