Pages are rasterised with PDF.js at twice their nominal size, which keeps small text and thin lines legible instead of soft. The output format is PNG, chosen because it is lossless and handles the sharp text and flat fills typical of documents without the fuzzy edges JPEG would introduce. There is no JPG option on this tool; if you need JPGs, run the PNGs through the PNG to JPG converter.
Render every page, or turn on selected pages and enter a range like 1-3, 5. Results download individually or as a ZIP. Long documents take time because each page is drawn on your own hardware.
Your PDF is never uploaded. PDF.js is bundled with the page like the other tools — no separate CDN fetch for the renderer. You still need a browser that can run canvas rendering locally.
That is the promise behind every tool here. Files are read in your browser tab, processed there, and discarded when you close it — never uploaded to our servers.
