Volume is wall area × plaster thickness, with the thickness taken in millimetres and converted so the result comes out in cubic metres. That volume is what you then translate into cement and sand.
Turning volume into bags of cement and sand depends on the mix ratio (for example 1:4 or 1:6) and includes bulking and wastage, which this tool does not apply. Use your mix design for the material split.
